Product Description
Restriction endonuclease, abbreviated as restriction enzyme, is a kind of endonuclease that can recognize specific deoxynucleotide sequences and cut the phosphodiester bond between two deoxyribonucleotides at specific positions in each chain. Restriction enzymes are an important part of the "restriction-modification system". Their biological role is mainly to protect the host from foreign DNA infection. They have been widely used in gene localization and cloning, gene structure research, DNA sequence analysis and determination, gene synthesis and other fields.BsaI is an IIS type restriction enzyme, which can recognize non palindrome sequences and cut outside the recognition sequence to produce sticky ends which are usually 4 bases.
